Getting people, gear and supplies to the best areas for wildlife, science or sport can be a big challenge. We have organized for expeditions with a variety of unique requirements, from work horse snowmobiles to custom Kometik sleds for passenger transport to boats. Flying into more remote areas by Twin Otter on skis to a Long Ranger Helicopter to jump over otherwise impassable ice and find the animals no matter the conditions are also possibilities. Whether bringing people and supplies in by dog sled or by chopper we can coordinate complex networks of connections to move people in and out and around the region. We constantly strive to increase access and safety in this different environment and are exploring new options using airboats, individual snow scooters, tracked amphibious vehicles, enclosed snowmobile cabins, glass bottom boats and even submersibles. Wherever we want to go we have found ways and continue to develop novel ways to access the best of the arctic in comfort and safety.

Land Tamer RAV
The Land Tamer RAV is a unique 8-wheel drive amphibious remote access vehicle. It was designed to be the ultimate workhorse vehicle for the outdoors-men who needs a more powerful, more durable, and more versatile vehicle than your typical ATV. The Land Tamer can turn on a dime, manoeuvre through rough, steep terrain, and has a 700kg load capacity on land. Utilizing the custom track system, this vehicle serves as a snow coach for over-the-snow applications and floats and propels itself through water by using the rear-mounted propulsion system. The Land Tamer features a proven, powerful Deutz Turbo diesel engine coupled with a closed loop hydrostatic transmission.

This Land Tamer has been specifically designed for Arctic Kingdom and its applications. It's completely enclosed heated cabin comes equipped with roof access hatch for wildlife viewing and heavy duty aluminum bridge to allow the Land Tamer to cross wide cracks in the ice. Ultimately, the Land Tamer is a superior vehicle for rugged, remote environments.

Airboat
Airboats have the ability to traverse over areas that other vehicles cannot. When the ice is too thin for snowmobile travel but still an obstacle for conventional boats, airboats can navigate easily. Airboats are flat hulled, with Kevlar reinforced bottoms and slippery skid plates that allow them to slide over snow and ice. Powered by an airplane propeller, they move seamlessly over both ice and water. There is no safer ground vehicle than an airboat when the sea ice is melting. It can cross widening cracks and continue moving steadily forward, even when breaking through the ice. No other craft allows for such movement over thin and breaking ice. This is especially important in the arctic environment from season to season. Airboats can also be used in shallow rivers and tidal zones in summer where there is not enough water depth for an outboard engine. They are also safe around marine wildlife and divers as there are no moving parts in the water.

Zodiacs
Zodiac is widely known as a manufacturer of inflatable boats. The Military and Professional Products Division is a dedicated business unit for government and corporate customers. It is within this division that we have found the superior quality of boats needed for work in the rigorous arctic climate. Zodiac specializes in developing boats for high speed, offshore sea and rescue operations. They combine high grade materials and modern design technologies to produce boats with superior stability, buoyancy and protective characteristics.

MK VI
The MK VI Zodiac has the highest payload of any inflatable boat in the 7m range. With an inflatable tube system made of Hypalon neoprene that includes intercommunicating inflation valves, the MK VI is safe and dependable in all conditions. With its patented Futura hull shape, it is designed primarily to carry heavy loads at planing speeds. This heavy duty model uses rugged materials and is reinforced throughout, making it suitable for extreme services. Even at sizes up to 7m, they can still be rolled up into a bag and thrown into the back of a pickup truck or aircraft.

Ribster 530 LSC
The Ribster 530 LSC is a foldable, collapsible and storable rigid hull inflatable boat, featuring an inflatable main buoyancy tube, fabric bottom, 5-element aluminum floorboard, and aluminum hull. It can be assembled by 3 people in less than 20 minutes. It combines the advantages of a totally collapsible inflatable with the rigidity, seaworthiness, speed and comfort of a RIB. Snowmobile
Snowmobiles are the workhorse of the arctic. There are only a few weeks during the summer months in which snowmobiles are not in regular use. The rest of the year, it is the lifeline for almost all Inuit families. Utilized for general transport, for towing qamutiks (long wooden sleds), as a hunting vehicle and as a recreational tool, it is used to travel across wide expanses of ice, over rocky and mountainous terrain, over frozen tundra and sometimes even over open water, skipping over open leads. Arctic Kingdom relies on snowmobiles for a good portion of our land-based expeditions and it is imperative to maintain a high quality, dependable fleet. By doing so, we attempt to eliminate the risk of mechanical breakdown of snowmobiles on our expeditions. With over 10 years of experience snowmobiling around the arctic, we recommend a wide-track utility sled. A long, wide track coupled with a rugged body and 80HP engine will move you and your essential gear across the unforgiving arctic terrain.
